and community members as part of the Help Lesotho family.

A Meaningful Birthday

Barbara asked for donations to Help Lesotho for her 50th birthday during the COVID-19 pandemic – and more than $3,000 was raised in her honour!

There are countless possibilities for raising money!

Ask for donations instead of gifts for your birthday

We’ll set you up with your own donation page that you can share with friends and family. After your big day we will send an inspiring summary of your total impact – our gift to you. Little ones can participate in Kids Care to collect donations at their birthday parties!

Plan a ‘GetTogetHER’ dinner to raise funds for sanitary kits

For girls in Lesotho, menstruation often means missing a week of school every month. Help keep girls in school by hosting a dinner where guests donate towards the purchase of reusable sanitary kits made locally in Lesotho. A kit costs just $15 dollars and provides a girl with enough supplies to manage her period for 3 years!

Schools Helping Schools

Education has immense power to transform, to alleviate poverty and create an AIDS-free Lesotho. The Schools Helping Schools program provides opportunities for Canadian schools to partner with a school in Lesotho through one-time projects or an ongoing relationship. Partner schools receive educational supplies, building repairs, and connection to ‘Canadian friends’.
While the provision of desks, books and uniforms is critical, it is the restoration of hope for a brighter future that makes the biggest difference.

Grandmother Groups

Grandmother Groups are a fun and innovative way to collaborate with like-minded grandmothers in your community to raise funds and awareness for grandmothers in Lesotho. Groups exist in many shapes and sizes, but all groups are committed to the same mission – supporting and advocating for grandmothers who work so hard to care for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Lesotho.

Groups are supported by the Help Lesotho office with photos, videos, fundraising documents, sale items from Lesotho, and much more! All funds raised by Grandmother Groups support Help Lesotho’s Grandmother Support Program.
