This Mother’s Day, we can make their day — and their lives — a little lighter!

Grandmothers in Lesotho are the backbone of their families and communities, providing love, stability and strength in the face of unimaginable challenges.
Many are raising grandchildren — often after the loss of their own children — while also caring for other vulnerable family members. They do all of this with little to no income, relying on small old-age pensions that barely cover their most basic needs.
Their days are long and exhausting. They walk an average of 6 km, or 3.7 miles, to fetch water, tend to their gardens to provide food and struggle to put children through school.
They cook, clean, nurture and offer guidance — all while carrying the emotional weight of their families’ hardships.
With your support, we can lighten their load!
